ABOUT
The Mixing Class was founded in 2017 on the principle of delivering peerless education to the cocktail & spirits industry. We have grown to become the world’s leading independent supplier of WSET Spirits education, and between Hannah & Rose, have taught thousands of students. We believe in making spirits education fun, engaging, and above all, accessible to all.
MEET THE TEAM

Hannah
A well-known fixture in the cocktail industry, Hannah has spent two decades and counting working with distilled spirits, first as an accomplished bartender (culminating as the head bartender at London’s celebrated Milk & Honey), then later implementing training systems as a bar manager and consultant (Boisdale, Bungalow 8, Nimb Copenhagen,). Crossing over to the other side, Hannah spent four years at Bermondsey Distillery, as the international brand ambassador and exports manager for Jensen’s Gin, before in 2017 founding The Mixing Class with a desire to share her career-long love of spirits learning.
Hannah is impassioned in the belief that access to education should be democratised, and so at the heart of The Mixing Class is a constant endeavour to provide equality of access to those who are disadvantaged or underrepresented in the industry.
Hannah is one of the IWSC & WSET 50; #38 on the Bar World 100 ‘23, and Imbibe’s Educator of the year 2019.

Rose
Rose first found a calling in spirits while bartending at Amoeba in Bristol. Her love for the community at the heart of bartending culture led to the re-establishment of the Midnight Cocktail Club, a monthly bartending competition that grew to become the biggest independent comp in the UK, motivating young bartenders to learn, and excel at their craft.
She was soon snapped up by East London Liquor Company (ELLC), becoming their Distillery Tour Manager and finally Lead Educator, cultivating a love of learning, and sharing spirits knowledge. In 2019 Rose was appointed an Awamori Jinbner (by Okinawa’s Awamori Distillers Association) to spread her wisdom and affection for Japanese Spirits.
In addition to educating, Rose is also the person who onboards our students, and is there to answer any and all queries they may have. With a genuine passion for both the people of the industry Rose is dedicated to supporting our students in their professional development.
Rose is a judge for the IWSC spirits competition, and can often be found enjoying a glass of malt at Milroy’s!
